When absolute filtration is not required, bag filters are used to clarify or filter fluids with high levels of particles to be removed – especially useful in filtering large volumes of high viscosity liquids.
Our bag filters are composed of a filter housing, filter bags, an internal cage to support the bags, a seal arrangement for positive sealing, and a choice of end connections. If the flow rate is greater than 50 m3/h, several filter vessels can be installed in line, each with its own shut-off valve, so the filter can be operated independently. When there is no possibility of interrupting flow or cascading filtration ratings, this type of installation is preferred.
